Overseas remittances vary depending on the destination country/region and bank. Please check the precautions carefully when using international money transfers for the first time.
1. Before remittance
(1) Getting deposits from account with different name is prohibited
When depositing funds by bank transfer, be sure to transfer using the same name as your PayForex account. If the transfer procedure is carried out under a different name, deposit processing to PayForex will not be performed. Please be aware that you will be required to perform the reassembly procedure for refund.
(2) Overseas remittances for the following purposes are not accepted
- Remittance to foreign FX brokers and other financial instruments business operators and affiliates not registered in Japan
- Remittance to purchase foreign-issued lottery tickets in Japan
- Remittance for gambling purposes such as internet casinos and bookmakers
- Remittance for the purpose of illegal transactions such as the purchase of drugs, stimulants, handguns, counterfeit banknotes, etc
- Remittance for the purpose of purchasing prohibited imports such as books that are harmful to public order and morals
- Remittance for the purpose of purchasing rare animals and plants, processed goods, etc. prohibited by the Washington Convention, etc
- Remittance for other purposes that Payforex company deems inappropriate
(3) Please add beneficiary/beneficiary account information in advance
If you register your beneficiary and beneficiary account information in advance, you can complete the remittance process faster. After logging in, select 'Remit' and start the registration process by selecting the destination country/region.
(4) Deposit to bank account
Select 'Deposit to bank account' on the deposit method selection screen and transfer funds to the displayed dedicated account in the same name as your PayForex account name. The money transfer request is completed at the same time as the deposit is made.
*Please make sure that the bank from which you are transferring funds supports instant transfers.
*Any other bank transfers (pre-deposits) other than those mentioned above will be processed during PayForex business hours (weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), and may be reflected in the account on the next business day, so the deposit will be reflected in the account the next business day.
(5) Convenient and easy 'Direct Debit' deposits
By setting up 2-factor authentication in the Payforex app and registering the relevant bank account information, you can easily make direct debit deposits. You can easily send money internationally without the hassle of transferring money.
*If you set up 2-factor authentication via your browser, you will need to download the one-time password app separately
(6) Other instant deposits
If you use Convenience Stores, ATM Pay-easy, Pay-easy(netbank payment), the funds will be reflected in your PayForex account almost in real time.
* A deposit fee will be charged for each payment.
(7) Exchange rates
PayForex exchange rates are updated 24 hours a day. The normal rate is applied during PayForex business hours weekdays (from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), but out of business hours, the rate will be replaced by the nighttime and holiday rate. In addition, please note that if rapid changes or instability persist in the foreign exchange market, spreads will widen significantly from the market rate.
2. For remittance
(1) Cannot remit to Russia, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Cuba, Syria, Belarus, Venezuela and some regions of Ukraine
* Some regions of Ukraine refer to Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk
(2) Cases where small amount is not accepted
- Bank transfers via SWIFT, the minimum remittance amount is 7,000 JPY.
- The minimum remittance amount varies depending on the remittance channel, so please check the calculator for details.
(3) Please prepare documents that can prove the purpose of the remittance
From the perspective of preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and other crimes, we may ask the customer to submit documents that objectively prove the purpose of the remittance before and after making the remittance request.
Please note that if you are unable to submit the documents or if the purpose of the remittance cannot be clearly confirmed from the submitted documents, we may cancel the remittance that has already been accepted.
*Required documents include invoices, contracts, quotations, import declaration, and e-mail history with the recipient that clearly states the details of the remittance. In addition, we may also obtain the identity verification documents of the recipient or those related to the recipient, we may need the documents about the financial institution transaction status, tax return document data, etc.
(4) About countries and banks that can’t use “Pay Other Bank Charges” service
Please be aware that for some countries/regions and banks, Pay Other Bank Charges service will not be applied.

Bank transfers via SWIFT, the funds are usually received after deducting the relevant bank charges from the remittance amount.To receive the exact amount of remittance, please use "Pay Other Bank Charges" with an optional fee of 2,500 yen.
(5) If you want to leave a message to the recipient *Only SWIFT and GBP are supported
If you need to add the invoice or reference number to the remittance information, please check "Enter information for the recipient" on the PayForex remittance screen.
For bank transfers via SWIFT, if you enter the recipient's e-mail address, PayForex will automatically send an email in English to notify the recipient that PayForex has made the transfer based on your request. China | For CNY(Chinese yuan) remittances to corporate accounts, CIPS business code is required in addition to the bank account information. *If you are unsure of the CIPS business code, please check with the recipient or the beneficiary bank. |
Vietnam | VND(Vietnamese dong) remittances are limited to personal remittances only. For corporate remittances, please use USD bank account remittances. |
Malaysia | The only currency that can be remitted is the local currency MYR(Malaysian ringgit). |
Nepal | The only currency that can be remitted is the local currency NPR(Nepalese Rupee). |
Mexico | For bank transfers, the account number must be registered with an 18-digit CLABE code (CLABE Account Number). |
Jordan | In addition to the bank account information, a purpose code (four-digit number) must be provided. Please contact support center after confirming the code with the recipient. |
Cambodia | Remittances to CANADIA BANK PLC. cannot be accepted. |
Taiwan | Remittances to CHUNGHWA POST CO., LTD. cannot be accepted. |
Indonesia | If the remittance purpose is payment for goods and the remittance currency is USD(US dollar), in addition to the bank account information, the invoice number is also required. After confirming the invoice number, please submit invoice data file to the support center. |
Myanmar | When the remittance currency is USD(US dollar), ITRS code (4 digits) corresponding to the remittance purpose must be provided. Please contact support center after confirming the code with the recipient. |
Bahrain | Remittance purpose code (three alphabetic characters) is required. Please contact support center after confirming the code with the recipient. |

Canada | If the beneficiary bank is the following bank, you need to provide ‘Institution number and Transit/branch number’. 3. After remittance
(1) If funds remain after remittance, or if scheduled remittance is lost after deposit
If the funds are very small or you expect to transfer them within a month, you can hold it in your account balance.
If you do not have a remittance plan, please follow the 'Withdrawal' procedure to withdraw the funds to your bank account.
(2) Remittance will be refunded or put on hold
※When remittance is refunded via SWIFT, the beneficiary bank and intermediary bank may charge a fee.
